MC Harvey, former rapper with So Solid Crew, best known for their no 1 track "21 Seconds", certainly was a hit in his first 21 seconds on the show with his suave fashion statement. He entered the Celebrity BIG BROTHER house last night much to my surprise, as I thought I was styling him for his film premiere. I later discovered, as he admitted, that he hadn't told anyone apart from his mother that he was taking part. He didn't even spill the beans to his former So Solid Crew bandmate Romeo, who appeared in a previous series of the programme.
''Romeo doesn’t even know I’m doing it, I lied. Only my mother knew,'' said Harvey.
Harvey was dead set on having strictly no black or grey suits when we were discussing his outfit for what I believed to be his press appearance. He wanted something that would make him stand out without the predictable street style, and move away from his 'bad boy' image. So to do exactly this, I arranged a meeting with the prestigious Andrew Ramroop OBE, managing director of Maurice Sedwell tailors in Savile Row.
The house is known for its quality, style and elegance, with a strong reputation resulting in a long waiting list, as there is a huge demand with clients including politicians, captains of industry and international business people. The clients return as they know they will be treated with such thorough care and precision in the cut and style of their suits, resulting in being dressed to perfection, as Harvey was on the night.
At the fitting, as soon as Harvey tried the suit he was blown away by the fine detailing and craftsmanship, and he knew instantly that this was the one. He rocked the suit with his charisma and cheeky charm. I now can't wait to see Harvey in the house and show the nation what he's all about! GO HARVEY!!!
